Do I have to be a BGC member to volunteer? We do require volunteers to officially become members and pay a $35 annual fee, but you are under no obligation to attend the club after school or during the summer unless you want to. There are dedicated teen rooms and teen directors at each Club and they are fun places to hang out.
Do I have to bring a community service form everytime I volunteer? No. We maintain a volunteer log and you sign in and out every time you volunteer. At the end of the school year, fill out just one community service form and we will record your hours on the form.
What happened to YVC? YVC is a part of Americorps and we no longer contract with that organization. Instead, we decided to make teen volunteering an integral part of what we do and stand for through a sixth core area...community service.
How do I sign up to become a volunteer? We are currently working on a master calendar that has volunteer opportunities by Club. In the meantime, please call the director at the Club you are interested in to find out about upcoming opportunities.
