Inaugural Duplicate Bridge Tournament a Great Success!
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County hosted its First Annual Duplicate Bridge Tournament on Friday, April 19th at the Orchid Island Beach Club. More than 80 participants enjoyed an afternoon of bridge, a delicious luncheon, prizes, and a 50-50 raffle. Thank you to co-chair Maureen Hendricks and her committee for making the day such a wonderful success, and an extra special thank you to Maureen and John Hendricks, and to Cindy O'Dare of Premier Estate Properties for generously sponsoring the afternoon.
Showcase your Business at the 12th Annual Angels Dinner
Please join your fellow business leaders, neighbors and friends at the 12th Annual Angels Help Our Kids Take Flight Dinner, being held March 21st at the Sun Jet Center's Aviation Hangar. The Angels Dinner provides your business with the best opportunity to showcase your product to more than 300 of our county's most affluent residents, while also supporting one of our community's most important charities, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County.
Sponsors of the Angels Dinner are heavily promoted before, during, and after the event, and enjoy wonderful publicity. Sponsorship of the event affords you with tickets to the event, advertising opportunities in the event program, your business listed in the event invitation mailed to nearly 1,000 businesses and individuals, and the opportunity for product placement at the event for our top sponsors.
All funds raised from the Angels Dinner directly support summer camp scholarships for children in need, and allow us to continue offering our renowned programs to more than 1,500 children in our community each year. Eleventh Annual Golf Events were a Terrific Success!
The Amateur Tournament, held November 5th at Vero Beach Country Club, kicked off the tournament week with 23 teams participating. The Pro-Am Tournament, held November 12th at the prestigious John's Island West Country Club, followed with 27 teams participating.
The Annual Golf Tournament fundraisers are critical to the success of the Clubs, allowing us to serve more than 1,500 children in our community each year. We are incredibly thankful to tournament chairperson, John Spooner, and his fantastic committee ot Don Shropshire, Bill Munn, Joe Pappalardo, Tom Mahan, Sherm Hotchkiss, Sherry Ann Dayton, and Nancy Lynch.
